The Triunfo Water & Sanitation District (TWSD) Board of Directors intends to appoint a District resident to fill the vacancy left by Ray Tjulander effective June 25, 2026.

To be eligible to serve on the Board, a person must be registered to vote and must reside within the boundaries of the TWSD water service area and/or sanitation service area.

Duties include

• Attending regular TWSD Board meetings, held on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:15pm at the District office in Westlake Village
• Attending Joint Powers Authority meetings with Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, held on the first Monday of each month at 5:00pm at alternating WLV/Calabasas locations
• Attending any special meetings or events of interest

Pursuant to Government Code section 1780, the person appointed to fill the vacancy will serve until the next general District election. The person elected at that election will serve the unexpired balance of the term. Accordingly, the Board appointee will serve through December 2026. To continue serving beyond that date, the appointee, like any other candidate, must file nomination papers for the November 2026 General District election during the nomination period, which opens July 13, 2026, and closes August 12, 2026. The person elected in that election will serve through December 2030.

About TWSD: Triunfo Water & Sanitation District serves more than 30,000 residents in a portion of southeastern Ventura County, including Bell Canyon, Lake Sherwood, Oak Park, and the Westlake Village and North Ranch portions of Thousand Oaks.
