Spring 2024 Sustainable Landscape Sessions

Triunfo Water & Sanitation District is committed to providing customers with tools and resources to help address their landscape and garden needs. The upcoming 2024 Spring Classes are presented in collaboration with the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District. There is no charge for the classes, but pre-registration is required.

Check out the class list below and fill out the registration form to sign up for any or all.

California Native Plant Landscape Training

Wednesday, February 21 | 6 pm - 7 pm

Where: Virtual, Zoom
Green Gardens Group (G3)

Learn how to design a yard using the four principles of beautiful and water-wise landscaping:

  1. Build a healthy living soil sponge
  2. Hold rainwater on your property
  3. Select local native plants that minimize water use and maximize biodiversity
  4. Control your irrigation

Garden Design Workshop

Saturday, March 2 | 9:30 am - 11:15 am

Where: LVMWD Board Room, 4232 Las Virgenes Rd., Calabasas
Green Gardens Group (G3)

Identify critical steps for successfully designing a beautiful, region-appropriate spring garden to life. Topics include:

  1. Sizing and siting the rainwater capture area
  2. Developing a palette of climate-appropriate plants
  3. Applying key design principles
  4. Laying out a successful planting plan

Hands-On Drip Irrigation Workshop

Saturday, March 23 - 9 am - 11 am

Where: Triunfo Water & Sanitation District, 370 N. Westlake Blvd., Ste. 100, Westlake Village
UC Master Gardeners of Ventura County

Learn the benefits of using drip irrigation for your home landscape and how to properly install and inspect a drip system. This session will start in the classroom and then move outside so participants can assemble a fully operational drip system. Please wear weather appropriate gear, such as sunscreen, a jacket, hat, etc.
