Recycled Water Fill Station Provides Supplemental Supply for Triunfo Customers

With California in the grip of an unprecedented drought that has necessitated significant water use restrictions, Triunfo Sanitation District reminds customers that free recycled water is available to them through the Las Virgenes-Triunfo Recycled Water Fill Station in Calabasas.

Customers may bring their own sealable containers to the fill station on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and collect up to 300 gallons of recycled water that can be used to help maintain trees, shrubs, decorative gardens, or lawn areas. Jennifer Hart regularly does just that, filling five-gallon plastic bottles so she can provide extra water to areas of her landscape that might otherwise not survive under the one-day per-week watering restrictions currently in effect

To qualify for the program, an area resident must be a customer of Triunfo Water & Sanitation District or Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, and s/he must also attend a brief training session that teaches the benefits and restrictions associated with using recycled water.

The Recycled Water Fill Station is located at the Rancho Las Virgenes Composting Facility (3700 Las Virgenes Road at the corner of Lost Hills Road in Calabasas). Click here for additional information on the Fill Station as well as upcoming training session dates.
