With California in the grip of a persistent drought, and Governor Gavin Newsom’s appeal for a 15 percent reduction in water use, homeowners and businesses need all the help they can get to conserve, In Oak Park, customers of Triunfo Water & Sanitation District can use their automated electronic water meters to track their consumption in real-time and set alarms to warn of excessive use, saving water and money!
Oak Park resident Kendall Nohre realized her water never stopped running day and night, which pushed her monthly water bill over $500 and wasted as much as 30 gallons of water per hour. Using online access to her automated water meter, she was able to pinpoint a small hole in the pipe leading to her swimming pool. By repairing the leak, she reduced her water bill and did her part to conserve water.
