Fall is here, and it’s a great time to consider ways to increase water efficiency in your landscape! The Metropolitan Water District is expanding its FREE virtual workshops to include education on planning and planting a gorgeous garden of native plants, harvesting rainwater, and applying best practices to control irrigation. MWD has added four new workshops to its schedule:

  1. Rainwater Harvesting: Reviews best management practices for passive and active capturing of rainwater in the landscape.
  2. Irrigation & Water Use Efficiency: Provides an overview of best management practices for watershed-wise landscaping.
  3. Drip Irrigation Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Discusses key points for designing and maintaining a drip irrigation system that meets your specific landscape needs.
  4. Deciphering Your Irrigation Controller:  Outlines the purpose and programming of irrigation controllers, both traditional and smart controllers.
