Join author and horticulturalist Douglas Kent as he shares strategies that will enable you to protect your family, your property, and your community. Kent will be focusing on structures, defensible space, and the role of plants in fire protection. Kent is the author of the best-selling books Firescaping: Protecting your home with a fire-resistant landscape and California Friendly: A maintenance guide for landscapers, gardeners and land managers. He teaches at several univeristies, including Cal Poly Pomona and USC, and has been working to create fire-protected properties since 1994. His presentations are professional, educational and dynamic.
