K-12 students who live in or attend school in Oak Park were invited to submit artwork with a water theme for the Metropolitan Water District’s annual calendar. A total of 36 winners in Southern California will be chosen, and their artwork will be featured in a professionally printed calendar and in a digital library.
This contest is now closed. Winners will be announced in early fall of 2026.
If you or your student has completed the online form but not submitted their original artwork, please contact Becky Haycox: [email protected] or 805-600-1576

“The drawing I made represents that water is the lifeline of our planet,” says Micah. “The Earth at the center of my drawing symbolizes how every drop counts—whether it’s filling a bucket, sustaining plants, or giving life to fish in the water."
